Online Icebreaker
This picture is from the construction of my group's experiment for Math and Science Night in 2022. The experiment was turning mousetraps into cars. For some reason, we were extremely stubborn and wanted to avoid looking up tutorials on creating them, so we spent about 20 hours testing and failing at our experiment. This picture displays the first time we made cars that actually worked, and we decided to celebrate our success by lighting a fire. The amount of pride I felt from creating this from scratch was incomparable to anything I've ever felt.
4 Truths and a Lie:
1. I once solved a Rubik's cube in 9.9 seconds, but I currently average about 17 seconds.
2. My favorite way to rest is by engaging with music in some way whether by listening to it, thinking about it, or reading about it.
3. In my free time, I like to play with cards, and I always carry around a deck of cards with me.
4. I play a lot of tennis tournaments, and I have a 4 UTR.
5. Once, I laughed at my 4-year-old sister in a public mall for running straight into a mirror.
Lighting things on fire as a way of celebrating a job well done is so cool! I only get to see fires on the news or at birthdays :( . I think that your lie is #5, as I don't believe they make people as clueless enough to walk into mirrors instinctively. All the other statements listed seem to align with all your hobbies and interests, and look believable.
ReplyDeleteHi William! I wish I got to see your activity at MSN! Unfortunately, I spent most of my time at the objectively more fun slime booth :) I think the lie is 4 because you're always solving a cube, posting album covers, and even though you failed at matching cards to your outfits, you always seem to have one. 5 seems too specific to be a lie, so even though I'm not sure what a UTR is, I'm guessing it's probably higher or lower.
ReplyDeleteGetting those cars built was such an achievement I believe lighting a fire right in front of my home was the best way to celebrate. I think your lie is the 4th line because I don't believe you've participated in many tennis tournaments. I know that you're an amazing cuber so the 1st is definitely true. You're very attached to music and I've read and heard you speak about some music, so I know 2 is true as well. I notice that you carry cards around all the time so 3 is true as well. I think 5 is true, even though I sort of don't want to believe it's true because that'd make you an absolute menace to society, more so than I know of.
ReplyDeleteWhile your Math and Science Night experiment was fire (literally) I think that mine was better because it actually worked every single time. I think your lie is 5 because I've seen your rubix cube collection, you post about music often, you literally signed a card and gave it to me, and we've played tennis together before (I won).
